Linum Consult’s client is a world leader in specialised civil engineering. They are currently seeking a number of Supervisors to oversee the Post Tensioning works on a major infrastructure construction project in Birmingham.
ROLE
- Supervising the daily operations of the personnel on site
- Performing daily inspections of work performed
- Assigning the personnel and equipment to tasks
- Solving any problems that arise
- Monitoring the work progress in order to respect the budgetary guidelines, the work schedules, the safety rules and the quality
- Monitoring job safety, and providing job safety training and awareness for all personnel; (especially in heavy lifting, rigging and Post-Tension)
- Monitoring quality standards of all jobs, and ensuring that all quality assurance and company standards & project specifications are being met
- Participating in daily planning meetings with contractors and site engineers & supervisors to review the activities and schedule the work.
- Supervising the personnel on the job site including Site Engineers, Workers & Supervisors
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- At least a Bachelor’s degree qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant (Structural) Civil Engineering subject with a proven track record of no less than 5 years post-graduate involvement within the sector.
- A background of working on civil engineering projects across the UK
- Excellent technical and hands-on knowledge of post-tensioned concrete
- A history of working for main contractors
