A major international contractor specialising in heavy civil engineering projects asked us to identify and recruit a Project Director for their Hydroelectric Dam construction project in Peru. A number of candidates had dropped out due to the high altitude of the location, so our challenge was to recruit the ideal candidate to an extremely tight schedule. Drawing on our international network of contacts, we were able to recruit and place the perfect individual within just one month.

We’re extremely well-versed when it comes to recruiting very specific profiles for difficult locations. A great example of this is the Contracts Manager we placed on a large uranium mine project in Niger. As our client is a French main contractor operating throughout Africa, we were asked to find a French-speaking Contracts Manager with specific project experience, as well as a history of working in challenging locations. We’re frequently asked to find candidates for highly technical roles. One such position was the EPB TBM Operator for a main contractor building the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit project in Kuala Lumpur. Due to the location, we were asked to find a Malaysian national with a background in operating Tunnel Boring Machines within highly populated areas. A challenging recruitment campaign! However, we were able to deliver excellent candidates to our client’s tight schedule.

As well as recruiting for high-level management positions, we’re also able to deliver on mass recruitment drives. An example of this is when a major international contractor asked us to assist with their recruitment campaign for a number of junior level Engineers and Quantity Surveyors to join their flagship metro construction project in Doha, Qatar.
